Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary school is a friendly, caring and encouraging place to learn and teach. Situated in the busy Oxfordshire market town of Witney, our school has a wide catchment area and many families have been pupils here for two or more generations. We have 185 children on roll, 80 per cent of whom are Catholic.
Our three and a half acres site incorporates playing field, tarmac pitch and shrubbery. There is a beautiful shelter for shade in hot weather and a 'trim trail' with activity equipment, both kindly provided by the Friends of Our Lady of Lourdes, who are currently busy refurbishing the library. The Foundation Stage has its own outside area, with designer beach huts and climbing equipment.
Classes are organised into single year groups, taught by dedicated and enthusiastic staff. Visits, outdoor teaching and sporting events with other local schools all feature in the children's learning, which is topic based. We have close links with the local church, Our Lady and St Hugh, and connections with other Catholic schools in Oxfordshire.
